If applying from outside the UK, the decision usually takes 3 weeks. If inside the UK, it takes 8 weeks. You may pay for a faster decision depending on your location.

Costs include the application fee (£259 for up to 12 months, £625 or £719 depending on inside/outside UK for over 12 months), healthcare surcharge (£624 per year), and personal savings (check eligibility requirements).

Your visa can last up to 3 years, and you can extend it if eligible. After 5 years, you may qualify for permanent settlement.
